THE SECOND LTTA MEETING IN GRUTA, POLAND

 

The third meeting of the project: ”Now our world” was held in Gruta, Poland, from 24th to
29th September 2018. The guests from Spain, Turkey, Greece and Portugal took part in
this meeting. Here is the plan of the activities lasting 5 days:

Day 1.

MONDAY

  • the first meeting at school

  • welcoming the guests by the headmaster

  • showing a presentation about Poland and the school

  • walking around the school: seeing the classrooms, the library, the common room, the sports hall, the

  • exhibitions devoted to Erasmus+ in the corridor and the area outside the school.

  • fashion show (clothes made of recycled materials)

  • a visit to an old local mill and a water power station in Słupski Młyn

  • a lesson in the Osa River Valley nature reserve

  • sightseeing in Grudziądz - walking around the town and meeting in a local pizzeria

Day 2. ​TUESDAY

An all day trip to Toruń:

  • a visit to the Mill of Knowledge Modern Centre

  • sightseeing in the Old Town with a guide

  • a visit to Copernicus' House to watch a 4D educational film “The Universe”

  • workshops in the Museum of Gingerbread

Day 3. WEDNESDAY

  • meeting at school

  • celebrating the European Day of Languages

  • quiz „How much do you know about the partner countries?”

  • playing language board games

  • our traditional football match England vs Germany

  • visit the mayor in our local municipality

  • a visit to Educational Centre of Ecology and to a local landfill in Zakurzewo

  • meeting in the bowling alley

Day 4.

THURSDAY
An all day trip to Gdańsk:

  • a visit to Hewelianum Centre

  • sightseeing in the city with a guide

  • visiting the Museum of Amber

  • visiting St. Mary's Basilica with the observation tower

  • a cruise to Westerplatte, where the World War II started

Day 5. ​FRIDAY

  • students: making ecological posters in international groups

  • teachers: evaluation of the meeting and planning ahead

  • tree-planting activity – each country planted a tree in Erasmus+ avenue to commemorate the meeting in Poland

  • „fireball” - international match of the students

  • getting the certificates of attendance from the headmaster

  • a visit to a rope park in Rulewo

  • a farewell bonfire
